Location: 100% remote – consultant needs to be based in Sweden
What is the team working with:
Digital service development team is working on developing our clients digital channels (web, mobile, logged-in services etc). The team is working as a full stack team, so that they handle the solutions as a devops team - handling both development of new features and maintenance and operations of the developed solution.
What skills are we looking for:
- We would like to focus on Clojure over Scala, but experience with Scala or other functional programming experiences on the JVM is a bonus of course. Knowledge with the paradigm here is helpful.
- Great collaboration skills. Team mind-set, person needs to be able to work with any team member - people working in pairs and changing focus inside the team, to get to know the code base.
- Ability and willingness to learn - person doesn’t have to be jack of all trades, but needs to show capability of learning new
- We are keen on finding someone with a curious and open personality, who finds it fun to learn something new every day and being open to new ideas
- open minded person, that can accept that Clojure is not the future at the client
Nice to have:
It wouldn't be bad if the person had some experience with front-end technologies, React, React Native CSS, Clojurescript etc. As for the philosophy we are trying to nurture, is one of keeping complexities at bay, keeping the overall design and data flow simple, and the ability to make changes easy.
